Controversy has increased over NCP (Sharad faction) MLA Jitendra Awhad calling Lord Ram a non-vegetarian. BJP and Hindu organizations have expressed objection to his statement. Maharashtra BJP leader Ram Kadam has filed a complaint against Awhad at Ghatkopar police station.
